PROJECT CONTROLS ANALYST – COST

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understands and applies engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships
  • Perform cost-to-complete analysis for all cost elements within a project taking into consideration staffing plans, contract commitments, and expenditures to date, change orders and trends.
  • Attend project meetings to provide Management with current financial information and trend log regarding potential impacts to project budget or forecast.
  • Provide progress reporting documents and briefing materials as required. Develop creative reporting tools to communicate complex project sequencing and/or progress assessments.
  • Analyze bid award values against current budget and prepare reconciliations to include in the current forecast at completion.
  • Update project and contract commitments, reconcile and analyze actual expenditures, create budget transfers, monitor trend status and maintain continuity of project and financial WBS structure
  • Work with cross functional teams including engineering, construction, environmental, permitting, and lead project meetings, and implement project plans.
  • Participate in design review meetings, review IFC job packages, job walk downs, coordinate with GC/Construction managers to track and plan resources.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3- to 5-years cost engineering experience with 1- to 3-years in direct support of an active construction projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing and reporting the cost components of large-scale, complex projects; including developing and managing a progress reporting methodology for a complicated design effort. Experience with Design-Build and Construction Management at Risk delivery methods is desirable.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with a large-scale cost reporting system is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand technical and complicated construction program and the ability to communicate progress to both technical- and management-level personnel.
  • Ability to work with others, a self-starter with results-driven focus.

PROJECT CONTROLS ANALYST – P6 SCHEDULER

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create the CPM project baseline schedule with the entire project team
    Develop and analyze man-hour resources, equipment resources and cost loaded, time-phased schedules
  • Prepare detailed plans and time scaled charts and diagrams
  • Monitor project progress against an established baseline
  • Provide impact analysis of schedule changes, identify schedule variances and opportunities and proactively develop mitigation strategies for the Project Management team
  • Review third-party design and/or construction schedules and provide written comments.
  • Develop creative reporting tools to communicate complex project sequencing and/or progress assessments.
    Responsible for promptly reporting schedule slippages or other variance

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or any related field.
    2 to 4-years scheduling or project controls experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in scheduling the design and construction of large-scale, complex projects
  • Experience with Design-Build and Construction Management at Risk delivery methods is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand a demanding, technical and complicated construction program; and the ability to communicate progress and issues to a technical- and management-level audience.
  • Demonstrated experience with Primavera Project Planner v 6.0 or higher.
  • Ability to work with others, a self-starter with results-driven focus.
  • Proven accuracy, reliability and completeness in job accomplishment.
  • Demonstrated success on the job, as evidenced by satisfactory performance, acceptance of responsibility and growth in previous position.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex issues to a non-technical audience.
  • Demonstrate experience with schedule analysis software.

PROJECT MANAGER

Job Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or its equivalent in education and experience and minimum 3-5 years of experience
  •  Develops and defines project scope and objectives.
  • Establishes and leads project team with agreed-upon roles and responsibilities.
  • Obtain commitment on detailed work plans including schedule, cost, resource, contingency and communication plans.
  • Obtains management approval as needed and is responsible for project tracking and analysis of project costs, scope and schedule.
  • Ensures project documentation is maintained.
  • Develops, monitors and updates the project cash flow and financial forecasts.
  • Manages dates, operations, tasks and scheduling in current software system (e.g. WM, EPM Microsoft Project Server).
  • Ensures all specialized materials are ordered in a timely manner.
  • Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
  • Communicates project status on a regular basis to all stakeholders.
  • Assesses project risk and formulates mitigative contingency plans.
  • Implements quality standards, reviews project deliverables and communicates variances accordingly.
  • Identify and communicate lessons learned and incorporate prior lessons learned as best practices into projects.
  • Adjusts project scope, with project sponsor approval, and schedule as appropriate to accommodate change
  • Identifies project performance issues, analyzes and addresses them in a timely manner.
  • Effectively completes multiple projects concurrently.
  • Represents and promotes the project and its contribution to company goals.
